• Make sure your gutters are clean and free from any foreign objects
  
• Look for leaks in corners
  
• Look for staining or overflow from water
  
• Check for rust in steel gutters
  
• Check the downspout positions and insure they are positioned in an area that will prevent structural damage
  
• Make sure no water is coming from behind the gutter
  
• Check if the gutters have pulled away from the structure.
